Not sure what you’re doing this Sunday, but were you planning on having any kind of… FUN?? Oh, well then, you must be planning to join us as we host the Space 15 Twenty Yard Sale on Sunday from 11-4! We’ll be bringing some new special vintage finds, along with some cheap thrills that you will love. We will also be joined by some of our favorite vintage selling friends, including Joey Grana of the incredible vintage store Scout. Joey has informed us that he will be bringing a $5 pile – yes, I said it – and we can’t wait to see what gems are in there. There will be amazing vintage deals, custom bikes, free vegan breakfast treats, killer vintage jewelry, succulents, and maybe even a yard game or two… You’ll just have to stop by to see!
Just Say New Year
While we’ve slowed down on our blogging a bit, we’re cooking up big things for Just Say Native in 2012! Just Say… Selling our hand picked finds at Urban Outfitters Project Urban Renewal, styling for our friends at Moon Canyon Design Co, hosting a Space 15Twenty Yard Sale, attending Blogshop, and finally offering our pieces through Etsy! Because of all this action, we’re taking off the Rose Bowl Flea Market in January, but we’ll back BIG TIME in February. If you’re needing your JSN fix before then, just make an appointment with us at our studio by emailing us at justsaynative@gmail.com.
Wishing you all a happy sparkly-tiedyed-embroidered-handknited New Year!

Sittin’ Pretty
We had another great Sunday at the Rose Bowl! What’s better than hanging outside, meeting new people, & playing with clothes all day? Actually, I know what’s better. When you do all that AND you find an insane fully macrame’d hanging chair with fringes and beads all over it!! I saw this beauty at about 7am and it was ours. We’re hoping to work it into our booth at A Current Affair (coming up this Dec. 3rd & 4th!) What special treasures did you find this weekend?
Just Say GIFT BAG!
We wanted to say a big thanks to Gen Art for including us in this year’s LA Fresh Faces in Fashion Gift bag! Did you go? Did you snag a gift bag? We hope you did, because we would love you to use the Just Say Native 20% off coupon that was inside! This little sweet treat is redeemable with us at The Rose Bowl Flea Market, A Current Affair, and at our JSN Studio by appointment. Follow us on Twitter & Facebook to find out where we’ll be, and when we’ll be there!
Hope to see you soon!

Just Say Native Autumn Shop the Studio Day
We’re beyond excited to be opening our front door for the first JSN Shop the Studio Day this Sunday, Oct. 16th! We thought is was a good excuse to relax with friends and fellow vintage lovas, drink sangria by the fireplace, eat chips & guac, and of course play with vintage. We have been gathering lots of new pieces that are perfect for fall (whenever it arrives). We’re also lucky enough to have the jewelry line STOWELLEN along for the ride. They make amazing hand-carved abalone and ebony jewelry, that goes right after this native gal’s heart! And because it was a great excuse to do so, we’ve borrowed about 25 sterling silver/turquoise/coral vintage Navajo & Zuni jewelry pieces from the one and only Nancy. She provides Linde and I with weak knees and empty wallets whenever we see her selection. We can’t wait to share! Oh, and as if you need another excuse to come, we’re having gratis tarot card readings by Misty McCrae, who gave me the most insightful (and lengthy!) reading just around this time last year. Come see what’s in the cards for you… or pop in this weekend & Just Say Hi!
takin’ it (not so) way back
Even though this video for Gucci’s Fall/Winter 08 campaign is an ancient 3 years old, it makes me want to wear everything shown right now! And it makes me want to undulate in the middle of an open field with my nearest and dearest wearing said clothes… Now that’s good design!
p.s. Can you imagine walking your dog on your usual route through the field behind your house and coming upon this scene?? I like to think someone got to experience that…
Matchmaker Matchmaker
Thanks to our friend Bree for sending this pic of her in this JSN vintage embroidered poncho that she picked up from us at A Current Affair this past weekend. When we found this I knew it would be right up her alley! It’s the best when a vintage piece finds it’s proper owner. Have you found any vintage pieces that feel like they were made just for you?
Just Say Flattered!
Thank you to Janene of the blog Hairpik for featuring me and one of our Just Say Native vintage bags on her blog post about her trip to A Current Affair. She really captured the vibe & unique style of the show. And I’m super flattered that she liked how I was working that dress! That crazy drapey thing is a great go-to piece because it stands on it’s own, without the need for much thought on what to wear with it (isn’t that the best??) I got this dress from the amazing Lysa of LA Rose Boutique, a vintage shop filled with those dramatic & covetable ‘go-to’ pieces. Oh, and btw, the bag is still available!
A Current (and crazy fun) Affair
A big THANK YOU to everyone that came & shopped with us at this weekend’s A Current Affair! We weren’t sure what to expect but with Richard (NEW/FOUND) & Joey (Scout) heading it up, we we’re pretty positive it would be amazing! There were so many cool vendors with seriously special vintage pieces and great personalities to match – Of course Linde & I had to pick up some items for ourselves, mainly a combo of amethyst, black onyx, coral, & turquoise rings (shocker). A Current Affair returns Dec. 3rd & 4th & you know we’ll be there with bells (and turquoise) on!
Here’s a few more pics from our booth – If you went to A Current Affair, what treasures did you find?

close up of our jewelry display - we had to include pics of our parents because they're one of our biggest inspirations (cue: awwww)
JSN + Indian Dresses = True <3 <3 <3
Was checking out this article on Refinery29 today featuring Andrea Linett, former creative director for Lucky Magazine and stylish gal after our own Native heart. I will make it no secret, if I see you wearing a vintage 70′s Indian dress, I’m probably going to try and be your friend. Indian dress and turquoise? Well then, I’ve got myself a full on girl-crush.
